Dangers of Wake Jumping

Last week a 23 foot recreational boat travelling at approximately 55 miles per hour tried to successfully jump the wake of the ferry TECOPAH on Lake Havasu in Arizona.  The recreational boat went airborne and their bow hit the water first flipping the 2 men into the water without any lifejackets.

If these men had been killed, which easily could of happened, they could have been nominated for a Darwin Award.

Safe Boating Week begins on May 16th – remember to boat safely.
