100th Anniversary of the RMS LUSITANIA

Today marks the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the RMS LUSITANIA by a German U-boat causing the deaths of 1,198 people – including 128 Americans. This disaster helped shift the opinions of Americans about Germany – and lead to the U.S. entry into World War I.  Maritime Executive has an excellent article titled “The Lusitania Sinking: ‘Be British Boys'”.
